    I'd argue that The Red Lion is one of the nicer wetherspoons. There's a lovely roaring fireplace, loads of room and it was fairly recently refurbished.

    The meals we had were good for the price. I really enjoyed my steak and chips and my partner enjoyed his pie. There was also a great variety of desserts on hand. I'd go again.

    Very good reception, good food and real ale at a very good price. Only one being picky point that I feel the condiments should come out with the meal from sterilised environment so not all customers can contaminate and potentially spread germs.
